Of this $1816.49 was in General Fund and $601.61 in the Hospital Fund. CCDB seconded a motion to accept the report as presented. Motion made by Cootie # 66. Motion carried.
REPORT OF COMMITTES:
Hospital Chairman Report: We currently stand at 130% of Annual Quota, after Supreme has revised all quotas and requirements. Our goal should be to reach 150% by the CofA. We need to make more efforts with home / hospital visits. Most of our percentage (sorry to say) came from burials. Cootie #66 said that he would try to set up a few visits this month. We need reports from our overseas Cooties on their activities as well.
Booster Chairman: Booster report went out. We are doing well. However, as of 14 Sep according to the Supreme Booster Report in the Cootie Courier, the Grand of Pacific has not submitted any reports to Supreme.
Membership: We had 28 Coots at the end of 2011 term. Currently we have 11 life, 5 annuals and 4 new Coots for a total of 20 Coots which is 71.4%. Received dues from Cooties Mike Best and John Corbin since the meeting. Thirteen Coots still need to renew their annual membership.
National Home Prayer: Conducted by Cootie # 66
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
HC Burnett asked about the status of the new pressure cooker for the Chili Cook-off. Cootie #41 was not at the Scratch and Cootie #66 said that it has not been purchased. A eight quart cooker is needed. Cootie #73 said that he may have one at home that the PT could use, he would have to check on the size.
HC said that the VFW sign that was voted on at the last Scratch has been installed. Cootie #66 said that the estimate of P17,000 was not enough, after removing the front of the sign it was discovered that addition repairs would be needed, and all the lights and starter fuse would have to be replace. An additional P2000 was needed.
NEW BUSINESS
Cootie #66 said that the two burial flags that the PT had voted on to purchase several months ago have been received. There was a discussion about the use of the flags and the status of getting flags from the VA. The Post's inventory of flags has been deleted and they could not get any new ones due to poor reports. Previous Service Officer failed to get signatures for the flags from the next of kin which needed to be submitted to the VA to get replacements. The RAO Service Officer is now giving flags to the next of kin for use at the burials and getting a signed receipt.
Cootie #66 said that the ice shaver that was sitting next to the Seam Squirrels' table needs to find a new temporary home. It is constantly in the way when having meetings and during business hours. There is no place to store it at the VFW as the storage room is already over stocked. Cootie #30 said that it could be stored at his house if someone could deliver it.
Good of the Scratch: Raffle tickets for the Chili Cook-off in Nov still for sale, as are tickets for the CofA and Veterans Day at Post 2485 (PT15).
Cootie #73 (Post 4 American Legion Commander) said the next American Legion meeting starting time has changed, it will start at 1300 on Sunday the 13th of Nov.
Half and Half. Half and half tickets sold came to P600. Cootie #65 won. He donated his half to the Hospital Fund
Buddy Poppies: P160
Fines collected: P400
Closing of the Scratch was done IAW Ritual.
Scratch closed at 11:45. Next Scratch will be held at 10:00, 1 Dec 2011 at Post Home.
