Scratch held on 30 January at Post Home
Scratch was called to order at 10:10 by the Seam Squirrel.
Opening ceremonies were IAW MOC Rituals.
Roll call was held: 5 Shavetails absent, 3 Shavetails present. Cootie #48 Present Excused. Cootie # 41 Present Excused. Cootie # 68 Present Unexcused.
Total six Cooties in attendance.
Max fine would be P20 each offense.
Visitors of note:Cootie Frank Chupko from New Jersey was introduced as a distinguished guest. He has held every Chair from Post, District and Pup Tent.
Seam Squirrel asked if there were any new member applications: HC said that there were none.
Seam Squirrel asked if there was Degree Work to be completed: No degree work
Seam Squirrel asked if the minutes from the last Scratch had been posted: Minutes for the DEC Scratch were posted and sent via email to all Coots that we have an address for and posted on the web site. Motion to accept minutes as posted seconded by Cootie # 66. Cootie # 30 made the motion. Cootie #30 commented that the minutes he received could not be opened. HC stated that he had probably sent the minutes using Word 2010. He vowed to send them with a more friendly version. Motion carried.
NOTE: The minutes had been sent with the proper version. HC will check further in an attempt to remedy the problem.

Seam Squirrel asked if there was a Cootie or Family Member of a Cootie in distress:Cootie # 48 appears to be getting better slowly. Cootie # 8 has not been heard from since last month.
Seam Squirrel asked for the report of the CCDB: Report was given in detail. At the end of Jan there was a total of $2340.06 in cash on hand or in the bank. Of this $1692.10 was in General Fund and $647.96 in the Hospital Fund. Cootie 66 seconded a motion to accept the report Pending audit. Motion made by Cootie # 30. Motion carried.
REPORT OF COMMITTES:
Hospital Chairman Report: We currently stand at 165% of Annual Quota. No more home visits to be scheduled until after the Beach Bash.
Booster Chairman: Booster report went out. We are doing well.
Membership: We had 28 Coots at the end of 2011 term. Currently we have 11 life, 12 annuals, 2 reinstated, one new life member and 4 new Coots for a total of 29 Coots which is 103.6% for GRAND and 100% of Supreme goal of 29 Coots.
National Home Prayer: Conducted by Cootie # 66
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Cootie # 30 modified his motion to sell Cootie Shirts at the Department Convention.
He suggested we sell Cootie Socks instead. Motion made by Cootie # 66.
After discussion, motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
Cootie # 30 Seconded a motion to provide the post with P3000 for supporting the Beach Bash Parade as we have assumed control. Motion was seconded and approved.

Distinguished Visitor Frank presented a bottle-opener key chain to HC figuring that he was most likely to need an opener on his key ring!
Half and Half. 50/50 tickets sold came to P700. Winner was Cootie # 73. Cootie #73 donated his winnings back to the Pup Tent, Thank You Chris
