Good of the Scratch: Cootie #66 ask if the day for holding the Scratch could be changed to Saturdays, it might allow more Coots to attend. Cootie #30 said that Thursday has been the day for the Scratch since the Pup Tent was established in the P.I., it is traditional and everyone knows the day. The first Saturday of the month does not conflict with meeting dates of any other local organizations. It will be brought up at the next Scratch under new business.
A question was brought up about the next Chili Cook-off. Since Cootie #49 will not be there who will be the chief chef. Cootie #66 said that Cootie #41 will be the cook, he did most of the cooking at the last cook-off. Due to the limited number of Cooties at the event, we might have to have a PT11/VFW team this year. Question of budget was brought up, CCDB said that both the Post and PT have funds in the budget for the cook-off.
Cootie #30 said that the Scratches after the opening ceremonies have been getting a little lax. He understands that with only 5 or 6 Coots attending some parts of the ritual like lining up and being inspected has not been held. However, some of the new Coots do not know most of the ritual and we need to start doing it so if they go to the CofA or Convention Scratch they will not be fined. Seam Squirrel said that at the next Scratch the full ritual will be enforced including fines for violations.
Cootie #73 reminded everyone that the POW/MIA Day ceremony will be held at Post 4 on Sept 16 at 11:00.
Cootie #30 will be running the Medical/Dental Outreach and he has questions about the budget. The Post has budget for it, any need for money from the PT for the Outreach will be brought up at the next Scratch.
50/50 Draw was P600. The draw was won by Cootie # 48, who donated his P300 to the Post Relief Fund.
Buddy Poppies: P240
Fines collected: P600
Closing of the Scratch was done IAW Ritual.
