UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The Commander reopened the tabled motion to move the Post home to a new location or close it. Commander asked the QM to give a summary of his report given at last meeting. QM Burnett said that the figures today have changed a little since last meeting. Currently we have $7971 on hand, receipts from 1 Oct to May 2010 will be approx $4200 (Dues $700, CofA and Beach Bash $3000, draws and half n half $500) all of this is estimates. The rent for the next seven months will come to $3700, and estimated bills $3840. Total disbursements $7530. So $7971 plus $4200 minus $7530 will leave $4641 at the end of May. Lower profits from CofA and beach bash is possible. Any emergency would also hurt the bottom figure. The dues income is based on all remaining annual members paying their dues; however that will probably not happen since many had not paid last years. The Post paid the rent the last three months for $1593. Since the Canteen is losing money every month it is possible that the Post may be liable for some electric bills within the next seven months.

General feeling is that membership wishes to move back to Barretto but we need to come up with options. Comrade Soper suggested the general members pony up $50 a head and we have this years problems figured out. Horse and Cow is being looked at along with the Blue Danube. Bottom line is that we need to move into a place where our income can handle our expenses. We have the option of moving to a new place and shutting down our canteen and just moving our meeting places around which could lower our costs considerably. We need to look into storage for all our stuff. QM needs to find a place to store the safes. We need to get our plans in order. Commander made a motion that if we can’t find a place to hold meetings after the end of May then we shut down the canteen and hold the meetings in one place. Comrade Wright seconded the motion. Motion was approved and carried.

NEW BUSINESS
Comrade Soper made a motion to have the PHC study if they can logistically open the draw to people who are not present. Comrade Doty seconded the motion. Motion was tabled to have the PHC look into the logistics behind the issue.

There will be a Marine Corps ball here 10 Nov 1600 open to all hands See Comrade Doty or Comrade Soper.

Commander made a motion to see if we could move the regular meeting up a week.  Motion was seconded by Comrade Alvarez.  Motion was carried and next meeting will be on the 4th of Nov and PHC will be moved to 2 Nov.

FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER

Comrade Frey made some soft pretzels for the meeting and would like to get some input into whether or not we want them on the canteen menu.

Comrade Koeppen stated that RAO is selling Lapel pins for 100 pesos and they are making new ID cards for 100 pesos. Dues are 50 dollars if you sign up by 31 Jan. See flyer posted for details

50/50 Raffle was won by Comrade Travers. P1900 was collected. P950 to the winner, P950 to the Post.

Chaplain gave the Closing Prayer.

Commander Correll adjourned the meeting at 11:05. Next regular meeting will be held at the Post Home at: 10:00, Wednesday 4 Nov. 2009
