Post Home Committee (PHC) Report:
No PHC members present. Commander Correll brought to the attention of the members one of the items discussed at the last PHC meeting. In an effort to cut costs, the PHC and Canteen Manager are looking into the possibility of letting go one or both of the two security guards. If they are let go, it will cost the Post approx. P37,000 (18,500 each), ½ month pay for eight years of employment each. Comrade Truax contacted the Labor Board and they said it should cause no problem as many companies are in retrenchment due to the economy. Health Visions would let us use one of their guards for P6500 a month, we would not be responsible for giving any benefits to the guard (i.e. 13th month). Nothing has been decided as of yet, still considering other options.
