Post Commander called the meeting to order at 1000 on Wednesday, 12 May 2010.

There were 16 members in attendance.

Comrade Alvarado gave the opening prayer.

Commander led attendees in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and Section 3 of the Congressional Charter.

The Roll Call was taken by Comrade Soper. All present except Chaplain Richmond who was absent.

Commander asked if the minutes from the previous meeting had been posted:
The Minutes were sent out to all members with an e-mail address on file. Comrade Soper made the motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Comrade Gallant, Carried

Commander called for the Service Officer's report:
Commander reported that Comrade Frye is in the Our Lady of the Lourdes hospital rm 214 for pneumonia and is scheduled to be released on Friday. Comrade Travers has been seen up and around the town. Comrade Alvarez is doing better he is regaining more motion in his arm.

Membership Committee:
QM Burnett gave the report gave the report. Life membership stands at 373, 7 new members, 23 continuous and 3 reinstated Total 406 for a percentage of 98.06%.

We need 8 continuous members to renew to get us up to 100

Comrade Doty reported that P300 had been collected at the meeting.

Good scratch was held again we are looking for more members any new nominations would be appreciated.

Building Committee:
The Lease on the Blue Danube is 14,000 which is a little too rich for our blood.  The place next to the RAO is open and might be suitable but we are looking for more info on terms.

Commander led the membership in reciting the National Home Prayer.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Commander is looking to submit a bid for the Department of the Pacific Convention. In support if this bid we will need to find a graphics person to help out on the design of the convention book.

Next Beach Bash meeting will be held in July

We will be putting up a new bulletin board near the RSL board in the hallway at Mangos.

NEW BUSINESS
Comrade Doty made a motion to purchase a wreath at a price of no more than 1,500P for the American cemetery in Manila, motion seconded and carried.

Comrade Doty made a motion to accept the following three new members; Phillip Hillesheim, Mark Holt, and Leland Baldwin, Motion was seconded by Comrade Soper, Carried

Comrade Scholten made a motion to place a ½ page advertisement in the American Legion convention book Comrade Doty Seconded the motion, Motion carried

Comrade Burnett made a motion to let Comrade Richmond borrow 10,000P from the General fund to help defray his ACR costs.  Motion seconded by Comrade Doty, Discussed, Carried.

Comrade Koeppen and the incoming Surgeon are trying to establish a medical outreach mission if anyone knows of sources for medicine please pass to them. (cash donations to purchase medicine welcomed).

Comrade Gallant passed that we are going to hold 4th of July barbecue if anyone has dishes of food that they would like to donate please see Comrade Gallant or Comrade Storment. (or sign up on the new bulletin board)

One set of crutches will be loaned to Dave Silverman for 1-2 weeks.

Comrade Chico won the 50/50 raffle P2000 was collected. P1000 to the winner, P1000 to the Post.
