Post Senior Vice Commander Spears called the meeting to order at 1000 on Wednesday, 13 May 2009.
There were 20 members in attendance and five guests.
Chaplain Richmond gave the opening prayer
SVC led attendees in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and Section 3 of the
Congressional Charter.
The Roll Call was taken by the Adjutant. All present except Commander Gordon,-Excused; PHC Member Coletta-Absent; Trustee Steakley-Absent; and Guard Haviland-Absent.

Commander asked if the minutes from the previous meeting had been posted:
The Adjutant reported that they had been posted on the website and were sent to all members with an email address on file, and that no corrections had been requested or made. The motion to accept as corrected was made by Past Commander Correll, seconded by Comrade Best. Carried
Commander called for the report of the Quartermaster:
QM Burnett presented the report.
Trustees conducted an audit of QM records on 11 May. No discrepancies were found.
Past Commander Correll made the motion to accept the report as presented, seconded by
Comrade Sunshine. Carried. The report is on file at the Post home, if anyone wants to see the Report, contact the Quartermaster.

Comrade Koeppen reported:
Comrade Billman is still in Gordon Hospital. He hopes to go home this week.
Comrade Trimble is at home but not doing well. He desires NO visitors.
Comrade Bryson suffered a stroke last week. He is not in the hospital, but has lost the use of his left arm.
He remains under the care of a doctor, thanks to the cooties.

PHC Members Mike Best and Dave Culotta conducted Post Canteen end of the month inventory on 30 April

Daily Draw chips were inventoried by Mike Best on 30 April. All 480 chips were accounted for.

Canteen records and funds were audited by the Trustees on 11 April.
PHC reviewed canteen monthly financial report and found it to be in good order.
- PHC Chairman Cox conducted asset inventory for change in command.

Adjutant Doty gave the report gave the report. Life membership stands at 367, 14 new members, 5 continuous and 24 reinstated Total 410 for a percentage of 99.51%.

Chaplain reported that P560 had been collected at the bar and at the meeting.
Quartermaster Burnett added that he had collected P360 from the bar several days ago. That’s a total for the month of P920. ($ 19.57)

Beach Bash Committee:
First meeting scheduled for 7 July. All are invited to attend and participate.
Chaplain Richmond led the membership in reciting the National Home Prayer.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A motion was made by Commander-Elect Correll to approve the amended By-laws as presented last meeting. Seconded by Comrade Best. The Motion carried with a unanimous vote.
JVC Doty mentioned that the motion to purchase a water meter for the post had been withdrawn because the meter is not required by the lease.
NEW BUSINESS
Seam Squirrel Sullivan mentioned that the cooties had voted to make a donation to the “Wounded Warriors Program” featured on Fox News. He made a motion that the Post contribute a matching donation. The motion was seconded. After discussion, the motion was withdrawn.
JVC Doty made a motion to purchase the remaining nine books of American Legion Raffle Tickets for Post 123. Seconded by Commander-Elect Correll. After discussion the motion was amended to state that the remaining tickets will be purchased on 25May. Seconded by Comrade Phillips, Carried.
FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER
Seam Squirrel Sullivan noted that there is a new Cootie Application waiting to be approved by the Post membership. SS spoke highly of this new applicant, Cletus Spalding and recommended approval. The post membership responded with approval.
50/50 Raffle was won by Comrade Best. P2500 ($53.19) was collected.
P1250 to the winner, P1250 to the Post. Comrade Best Donated his winnings to the general fund.
