NEW BUSINESS
Commander made a motion for the Post to loan Minda (Rooster's Friend) P19000 to bury him.  She has an insurance policy made out to her from Rooster (Michael Wetzel), however it will take a few months to clear (bank has a 1 month holding policy on checks).  She will sign a promissory note.  P9000 is for the plot at Clark Field and P10000 the funeral parlor as partial payment.  Motion was seconded by Comrade Storment. After discussion which included who was to ensure that payment was made to funeral parlor and getting funds returned to the Relief Fund the motion was carried.  The Post Commander will take care of all arrangements.

Motion was made to form a Raffle Committee to make plans for next years FIL/AM day to include lowering price of tickets from P500 a book to P300 or P250.  Seconded by Commander Doty. Discussion also included getting sponsors to purchase 25 books or more and get recognition at the celebration.  Comrade Phillips will chair the committee.

FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER
Adjutant introduce Post member Bill Bay who hasn't been at a meeting for several years and just recently moved back into the area.

Commander asked the membership what they thought would be a fair opening price for negotiations of a new post home. He recommended a maximum of P20000.  Discussion included looking for a location before setting a price, would like a place with a small kitchen for fast food items only and shorter hours then prior Post home.  It was suggested that a plan be made up which would include rent, utilities, hours of operations, number of employees, security guard etc so that a good estimate of cost could be made before opening negotiations. Commander and QM will take that for action.  A member said that we would need a new committee; however we already have a building committee.  Comrade Phillip's said that every member is part of the building committee and if they find something that might be suitable to contact the Commander.

Comrade Anderson won the 50/50 raffle P1300 was collected. P650 to the winner, P650 to the Post.  Comrade Anderson donated his to the Relief Fund. Thanks Phil.

Comrade Phillips gave the Closing Prayer.

Commander adjourned the meeting at 10:55. Next regular meeting will be held at Mangos in Keith’s place at 10:00, Wednesday 11 Aug 2010
