NEW BUSINESS

No further nominations, nominations were closed until next meeting. Vote for new JVC will be made at next meeting following closing of nominations.
Comrade Koeppen made a motion for the Post to join Better Book Business. We could get books/text books for our scholarship program and local schools. Motion seconded by SVC Spears. Discussion: Need to send letter to RAO, Embassy and FPO about assistance in getting the books through customs etc. Carried.
Comrade Bob Wright made motion and seconded by Comrade Koeppen to transfer funds
From Building Fund to General Fund. Discussion: Comrade Wright said that it is highly unlikely at this time that there will ever be a new building constructed. While membership remains healthy overall, the number of local members is steadily declining and participation at the home is almost nil. A letter will be prepared by the Adjutant to inform all donators to the fund that balance will be transfer to the General Fund to cut lost and also to help pay rent, electricity etc for the Post Home. Motion put on shelf until the July review of lease contract is done. Also discussed was closing of the VFW Office in July and use a portion of the current dining/conference area for VFW use. A divider would have to be installed to separate the two spaces.
FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER
