Post Commander Correll called the meeting to order at 1000 on Wednesday, 13 Dec 2006.
There were 27 members in attendance.
Comrade Alvarez gave the opening prayer.
Commander led attendees in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and Section 3 of the Congressional Charter.

Commander asked if the minutes from the previous meeting had been posted:
The Adjutant reported they had, and no comments or changes had been made. Comrade Alvarez made motion to accept the minutes as written, seconded by JVC Corbin. Carried.
Commander called for the report of the Quartermaster:
QM Burnett presented the report. He explained some of expenditures and told the membership that all Canteen bills have been paid to date with the Canteen now making all payments. Trustees audited report on 12 Dec. Comrade Alvarez made the motion to accept the report as presented, seconded by JVC Corbin. Carried. The report is on file at the Post home, if anyone wants to see the report contact the Quartermaster.

The meeting was called to order on Monday, 11 Dec.

2. PHC Members conducted Canteen end of the month inventory on Nov. 30.
3. Audits and Reviews:
Canteen records for the month of Nov. were audited by trustees and found to be in good order.
PHC Chairman reviewed the Canteen Profit/Loss statement and found to be in good order.
4. Approved Recommendations:
- Sell used aircon and generator for $350. Unused freezer to be kept and used by members for emergencies such as power outages.
- Christmas party for VFW members children to be held 22 Dec. at 0900. Party for Scholarship children will be held same day at 1400.
- New contract for Canteen Manager will be completed this week.
- Christmas dinner will be held on the 23rd . Adults P350 and children P250.

Canteen Report:

All Canteen expenses paid and all bills are current.
- Sales have increased as well as inventories. Expenses have been reduced.
- Canteen showed profit of P9000 ($183).
- New microwave, two coffee pots and 2 waffle irons have been purchased.
Membership Committee:
SVC Boruff gave report. Life Members 356, New 4, Cont 17, Total 377. Percentage: 93.33%. Twenty-four applications are being processed. Four Life Members and 20 current (annual) members. Actual percentage is over 100 when applications are processed. The Post got two free life memberships during the C of A for reaching 100%. If you haven't done so please renew your membership as soon as possible, prices go up on 1 January 2007.
Amerasian Scholarship Committee:
Adjutant said that all schools were given their final payment for this school year. All is paid up.
Buddy Poppy Chairman:
Comrade Alvarez reported P620 ($13) was collected.
Seam Squirrel Report:
Comrade Phillips said that the scratch and social went well with all members and visitors having a good time. The CofA Scratch went well. The Pup Tent has a new member application that will be brought up at new business.
Web Master:
Commander explained the duties of the Web Wizard and asked if there where any volunteers for the job. No volunteers.
Building Committee:
The Commander, Senior and Junior Vice Commanders, and the Quartermaster will meet with the owners of the Post Home to discuss possible renewal of lease. The Commander is also looking into the asking price for the Grand Seas Hotel across from the Catholic Church on National Highway.
Beach Bash:
The next meeting would be held on Wed, Dec 20 at 0900. Please attend we need many volunteers to help out. Several new events have been added this year to include a Dragon Boat Regatta and races. Comrade Phillips will take care of booth assignments. Still need someone to chair the parade.
CofA:
The C of A went well with a large turnout from Department, District and Posts around the Pacific. Commander was not pleased with the small turnout of Post members at the Department meeting. Quartermaster said that the profit from the C of A could be about $800 but all bills and accounting have not been completed. Recognition was given to Comrade Humfleet for his generous donation to the Post Bldg Fund and Scholarship Children Fund. Commander said that the Banquet went very well. Good chance that the C of A could be held at the Post in 2007. Next Department meeting will be held in Angeles City 17-21 June at the Oasis Hotel.
Comrade Alvarez led the membership in reciting the National Home Prayer.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. . The microwave which was voted on to buy at last meeting has been purchased, along with two coffee pots, waffle irons and tickets to be used for the 50/50 draws and other purposes.
2. Commander explained the ongoing situation with the Labor Board concerning Rudy
Bartolome. A new lawyer was hired to handle the case and was paid $500 which would cover costs until finished.

The shirts, caps, etc. that was voted on last meeting have been received and are on sale at the Post Canteen. Also coffee mugs. Digital safes are still on sale at the canteen, 13 have been sold to date.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Seam Squirrel Phillips introduced a Cootie application for Post member Tom Stone. He said Comrade Stone was a solid member of the Post, holding previous positions with PHC, and Trustee. Vote was taken by membership to approve the application. Carried.
2. Commander asked if a motion could be made for the use of Post funds for two Christmas parties next week at the Post. The first would be for the children of Post members and the second for the scholarship kids. Quartermaster said that he has funds available from donations etc, but not too much. Motion was made Comrade Koeppen and seconded by Comrade Best to provide funding for the parties. Carried. Membership was also reminded to sign up to buy or pay for presents for the kids.
3. Comrade Koeppen made a motion for the hours of the meeting to be changed back to the previous time of 1030 for Officer Call and 1100 for the meeting. Seconded by Comrade Best. Vote taken, not carried.
4. Commander said that he would like to see the number of scholarship kids be reduced back to previous figure of 50 from the current 60. This could be done through attrition with four graduating this year. He would like to see more funds available in the Relief Fund to help veterans. Comrade Phillips made motion to reduce number to 50, seconded by Comrade Best. Carried.
FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER

. District IV Commander/Post 727 Commander Orville Humfleet told the membership that he always enjoys his visits to Subic . He finds the membership friendly and likes the camaraderie at the meetings.
2.
Comrade Sullivan said that he has lemon tree plants on sale at his shop. VFW members will get a discount and all plants.
3. 50/50 Raffle was won by Comrade Schrauben. Total of P2000 ($41) was collected, P1000 to the Post and P1000 to Comrade Schrauben who donated his to the General fund. Thank you.
Comrade Alvarez gave the Closing Prayer. Commander adjourned the meeting at 1115. Next meeting will be held at the Post Home at 1000, Wednesday 10 Jan 2007.
