FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER

-  Adjutant read three emails he had received.  First concerning saluting the flag, the Senate has passed a resolution allowing military members not in uniform and veterans to salute the flag rather then the previous way of paying honor to the flag by placing right hand over the heart.  The second was the schedule of a Coast Guard recruiter recruiting visit to the Philippines. He will be at the RAO 9-11 Aug. and the last a change in immigration policy for those using tourist visas in the Philippines.  The one year max extension has been changed to two years.  You still need to go to the local immigration office every two months to extend your stay.  Extensions up to 16 months can be approved by the local office, the remainder 8 months must be approved by immigration in Manila but application can be made locally.

-  Comrade Truax said that if you are still having trouble receiving money from NFCU through Western Union the RAO can help you get a control number.

- PHC Chairman Cox said that Happy Hour at the canteen was approved and will start next Monday, from 5-6 PM.  Five pesos off local drinks.
