Commander said that about a year ago the Post members voted to purchase and/or repair some of tents. Since this has been a while he entertained a motion for the Post to purchase one 12x12 and one 12x16 tent. John Corbin made the motion and Comrade Best seconded it. Motion carried.

Commander said that we need some sturdy chairs that do not break. The ones we have are old and getting fragile. He asked that someone would make a motion to purchase 16 chairs. Comrade Best made the motion and seconded by Comrade Corbin. Comrade Verville said that the chairs need rubber on the legs where they contact the floor so that they will not slip. Following discussion a vote was taken and approved for the purchase.

Adjutant Burnett read a letter from American Legion Department of the Philippines for ads for the Convention Book. The Convention will be held 20-22 June at the Ayenues of Flavors Resto (formerly White House Hotel) in Angeles. Adjutant made the motion for the Post to purchase a full page color ad for $200 (P8200). Seconded by Comrade Middleton. Comrade Verville said that maybe the Post and Pup Tent could get together and do an ad together and split the cost. The Commander said that this would have to be brought up at the Pup Tent Scratch. Comrade Schrauben said that the ad has to be submitted by 21 May. Following discussion the members voted for approval of purchasing the ad.

Comrade Rowe said that there are shirts and new hats for sale. Shirts are P400 and hats P300.

The Commander said that if anyone asks the Canteen to order food or drinks from the vendors through the Canteen they will have to pay 20% mark-up. This is due to time consumed by the workers, storage space in freezer or refrigerator until picked up and floor space in Canteen for cases of drinks.
