| Post Commander Correll called the meeting to order at 1100 on Wednesday, 12 Apr 2006.
There were 35 members in attendance.
Comrade Alvarez gave the opening prayer.
Commander led attendees in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and Section 3 of the Congressional Charter.
The Roll Call was taken by the Adjutant and absentee noted.

Commander asked if the minutes from the previous meeting had been posted.
The Adjutant reported they had, and no comments or changes had been made. Comrade Saunders made motion to accept the minutes as written, seconded by Comrade Musik. Carried.
Commander called for the report of the Quartermaster:
QM Burnett presented the report. Trustee audit was completed on 4 Apr 2006.
Comrade Saunders made the motion to accept the report as presented, seconded by Comrade Alvarez. Carried.
Commander called for the Service Officer's
report: Chester Gross is out of the hospital. Memorial services for Ken Prettyman were conducted on 27 March.

PHC Report:
Post Home Committee Report: Comrade Cox gave report. PHC Meeting was held on 4 Apr. PHC member Ralph Cox was elected Chairman of the committee, Dan Richmond was elected vice chairman. Chairman Cox discussed the importance of following and abiding by Post Canteen By-Laws and House Rules. He also gave a briefing of the canteen employees meeting held by canteen manager on 2 Apr. The following recommendation were approved at the meeting:
a.
Remove raffle ticket sales from the bar.
b.
A new menu with price increases will be published Monday, 17 Apr.
c.
Canteen manager reported to the committee status of unpaid bills. Chairman Cox will give a report on unpaid bills to the membership at the Post meeting on 12 Apr.
d.
The canteen records were audited on Thursday, 6 Apr by Trustees Bob Koeppen and Rich Truax.
e.
Chairman Cox reviewed the Canteen Profit/Loss Statement for Feb and Mar and found them to be true and accurate.
Membership Committee:
SVC Sullivan gave latest stats on membership drive. 345 Life members, 11 new, 10 reinstated and 38 continuous for a total of 404. We are at 104.12%.

Comrade Landry said that the person who updates our website is on vacation. Upon his return he will update the site with pictures and other items.
Building Committee:
Commander Correll reported that negotiations will continue with owner of current Post Home.
Comrade Alvarez led the membership in reciting the National Home Prayer.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Commander gave the floor to Comrade Saunders to conduct the nominations and election of new officers. Comrade Phillips made the motion to have paper ballets for the election. Seconded by Comrade Koeppen. Comrade Saunders asked if anyone wanted to withdrew their nominations, SVC Sullivan withdrew his nomination for SVC. Nominations were reopened, Comrade Gillis nominated SVC Sullivan for the position of Commander. Comrade Corbin who was absent wrote a letter that he would accept the position of JVC. Comrade Stone was nominated for Surgeon. Comrade Dela Vega was nominated Third Year Post Home Committee member.
Nominations were closed and Comrade Saunders asked the members to vote for the position of Commander. Commander Correll was reelected by the majority of the members. All other positions up for election were uncontested with only one nominee each. Comrade Saunders made the motion that the adjutant cast one unanimous vote for each position. NEW BUSINESS
1.
Commander Correll explained to the membership the current financial situation of the Post.
2.
Due to the financial situation Comrade Alvarez made the motion that the Family Day Picnic be cancelled this year. Seconded by JVC Boruff. Carried.
3.
Commander Correll in an effort to reduce costs asked if someone would make a motion for the Post home be closed down during the Easter weekend (Thursday thru Sunday), this is normally a period of low patronage and holiday wages might not have to be paid. Past Commander Billman made the motion that the Post close over the weekend, seconded by Comrade Koeppen. During discussion the question of the legality of it concerning wages came up. Canteen manager will check with the lawyer before taking action. Carried.
FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER
1.
Comrade Traux asked if the building committee had looked into renting one of the empty buildings on SBMA. He said that since SBMA has its own power source, electricity should be cheaper. Commander Correll said that the membership had previously agreed on having the new Post Home in the Barretto area if possible.
2.
Comrade Lynn Miller currently the Post Historian said that he was offered employment at GITMO Bay and a new historian needs to be appointed. Commander Correll asked if anyone was interest in the position. Comrade Dennis Doty volunteered.
3.
50/50 Raffle won by Comrade Gorton. Total of P1100 went to the Building Fund.
Comrade Alvarez gave the Closing Prayer.
Commander adjourned the meeting at 1220. Next meeting will be held at the Post Home at 1100, Wednesday 10 May 2006.
