Raffle tickets for the event are on sale at the Post.
3. This item was initially brought up during For the Good of the Order, but required a vote and New Business was reopened. Comrade Sullivan was in disagreement over rental of Post furniture (table, chairs, etc) to members. He recently borrowed some furniture from the Post and when he returned them he was presented with a bill for P410 ($8.20). He said that he did not know that Post members had to pay for rental of Post furniture. There was discussion by members concerning loan of furniture to other business's free of charge, i.e. tents during Beach Bash and other events, the Commander said that this was an agreement with other businesses, and organizations that they can use our tents and when needed we can borrow theirs free of charge. Comrade Sullivan made a motion that Post members be allowed to borrow furniture without charge. Seconded by Comrade Gillis. Discussion continues and a vote was taken on the motion, not carried. Commander said that rental to outside businesses or a VFW member to ensure that the furniture is returned and paid for must sponsor persons.
