On September 1992, the first Post meeting was held
at Blue Jeans Bar in Barrio Barretto, Subic Bay , Philippines. Through the hardwork and determination of the veterans,
Post 11447 Paul P. Busek was established.
Paul P. Busek was selected as the namesake of the Post. He was a friend and inspiration to many of our members
during his life in the Navy here in the Philippines.

Departed Comrade:
Life member Mike Gallant, EWCS (RET) passed away on 18 April at Baypoint Hospital on SBMA (old subic naval base). He died from kidney and liver failure. Mike served in the U.S. Navy for 24 years. Mike served at various commands in the pacific area including subic naval base and served aboard the USS Parsons. His last duty assignment was with Comdesron 15 Yokosuka, Japan. His awards include the Vietnam Service Medal; Combat Action Ribbon; Navy Expeditionary Medal; Soutwest Asia Service Medal; Presidental Unit Citation among others. Burial arrangements have not been confirmed at this time.
